Dr. Mark Fisher
Mark Fisher received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emory
University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1974. Dr. Fisher is also a graduate
of the University of Florida’s Comprehensive Dental Program.
Dr. Fisher has devoted himself to life-long learning, enhancing his professional skills by continuing his education in significant ways. For instance, Dr. Fisher is one of only a handful of dentists in Miami, and only 4% nationwide, who have earned the distinguished title of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Mastership is the highest honor available in the Academy of General Dentistry and one of the most respected designations in the profession. Those who achieve mastership have been formally recognized for completing a minimum of 1,100 hours in approved continuing dental education, and most – including Dr. Fisher – have completed more. At least 400 of those hours have been dedicated to participation courses, which are courses involving actual application of a technique or skill under close and qualified supervision.
Dr. Fisher also lectures and has published articles, both nationally and internationally. Needless to say, he is highly respected among his fellow dental professionals, many of whom he treats!
As the patient, you should know that Dr. Fisher is very passionate about his work and always strives to improve his patients’ lives by enhancing both their self-image and their overall well-being. In fact, Dr. Fisher and his team have centered their work around the belief that the health of the entire body is directly related to the health of the mouth. To that end, Dr. Fisher prefers to use the most biologically compatible material available ─ porcelain ─ as well as some of the newer plastic materials developed for dental use.
