Enjoy that Lifted, Perky Look

The breast lift—sometimes also known as a “mastopexy” procedure—works to restore a more youthful and supple appearance to the bust by lifting the breasts, essentially turning back the effects of time and gravity. This procedure is especially popular with patients who have recently undergone some significant life event that has altered the appearance of their bust while also being a favorite with those simply interested in turning back the clock and undoing the aging process.

Am I a Candidate for a Breast Lift in Westport?

Patients come to Dr. Fisher interested in a breast lift for a variety of reasons, and many realize that there are often a few different routes to their ideal surgical outcomes. During your consultation, Dr. Fisher will gain a thorough understanding of your cosmetic goals and will help you design a customized treatment plan that brings you in line with your preferred results.

A breast lift is an ideal solution for breasts that have begun to droop or sag, losing their perky and youthful position in the process. Some women have found that their nipples are pointing downwards, while others are interested in simply correcting a deflated, drooping appearance.

Not all breast lifts add volume to the breast itself, but this procedure is often performed in conjunction with a breast augmentation for truly incredible, naturalistic results.

What is Recovery Like After a Breast Lift in Connecticut?

Your breast lift procedure will take between one and three hours, depending on the details of your surgery. Dr. Fisher will talk with you about all the specifics of your procedure so you’ll know exactly what to expect on the day of your breast lift. Most breast lifts are outpatient procedures, so you’ll be able to head home after a brief stay in our recovery room.

You’ll experience some bruising and swelling in the treatment area, and we’ll make sure you have medication to keep you as comfortable as possible. You’ll need to wear a supportive bra for up to a month as your body heals. Many patients begin to rejoin their daily routines within three to five days but must avoid strenuous activity for at least one month.

Dr. Fisher will schedule follow-up appointments with you to remove the bandages and monitor your healing and recovery progress. Any stitches or sutures will also be removed after about one week. If you experience any numbness or loss of sensation, this typically returns as your swelling fades away over the course of about six weeks.
